Sacramento Kings make a surprising starting line -up change over Portland Trail Blazers

The Sacramento Kings The starting line -up was a dispute for fans, media and even the team. Coach Doug Christie was asked several times how to bring Keon Ellis into the starting line -up and Malik Monk moved back to his 6th manner.

“No, because we won many games with Malik (monk) in this position,” said Christie bluntly.

Although Ellis started due to injuries, Malik Monk was available tonight, but the expectation was that he would get back into his starting role. This seemed to be the plan when Malik was announced as a starter, but things changed when Keon Ellis entered instead.

The Kings initially announced that Malik Monk, Zach Lavine, Demar Derozan, Keegan Murray and Domantas Sabonis would start, but something changed. Ellis started the game unexpectedly over monk and shocked everyone.

It is unclear whether this was a change at the last minute or a mistake in the installation announcements, but in both cases Keon Ellis started tonight.

Used five for Monk with Ellis, the net rating of the kings jumps from -9.3 to -1.5. While this does not seem important because they are still a negative line-up, an almost 8-point swing in the NBA is huge.

Today’s game against Portland is an absolute must for Sacramento, and the sound with Ellis in the starting line -up could be a great place for the start.
