Saints de cam Jordan celebrates nomination for the NFL Man of Honor | Holy

Cam Jordan likes to give something back. So much that the defensive end of New Orleans Saints for this year’s Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award was nominated.

“It illustrates and recognizes what you do for the city in which you live or in which you have participated,” said Jordan about the honor. “Here you look at the person and not the football player. That may be an individual honor, but without my foundation, without my people at my side I couldn’t be here and do everything. ”

Jordan celebrated the nomination and thus praised his non-profit work by presenting ELICIA Broussard, Vice President of the Saints social commitment, a tailor-made Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award helmet.

“As much as this is about me, it is also about the people in the corner who promoted me to community service,” said Jordan, before talking to Broussard directly and presenting her the memorial helmet. “You were a great soul. That is just a sign of appreciation for you. “

Then Broussard became emotional and held back the tears.

“I shouldn’t cry,” she said. “I appreciate that. The way they dealt with the people here. These children in New Orleans and in our community are all blessed to have them. ”

The “Man of the Year” award will be officially presented at the NFL Honors on February 6th at 8pm in the Saengner Theater.
