Samuel L. Jackson reveals the 12 billion dollar council, which he received from Bruce Willis

It is difficult to set a monetary value to life -changing advice. But in Samuel L. Jackson’s case, the figure is switched on around 12.8 billion US dollars.

So much is the dozen Marvel films in which his figure Nick Fury appears at the box office since he attracted the legendary eyepatch for the first time in 2008.

It is a role that employs him in the zeitgeist and, above all, paid for more than 15 years. And if there was no conversation that the actor once had with Bruce Willis, it might never have happened.

Jackson spoke with Vanity Fair for a story in which Willis celebrated the 70th birthday of Willis, and in 1994 gave him a life -changing tip when the couple shot “hard with a revenge”.

“He said to me: ‘Hopefully you can find a character who, if you make bad films and not earn money, can always return to this character that everyone loves,” said Jackson.

Willis said he had the John McClane character from the “Die Hard” films, while Arnold Schwarzenegger “Terminator” and Sylvester Stallone “Rocky” and “Rambo” films had had to fall back on.

It would take another 14 years for Jackson find the role that Willis spoke about.

“It didn’t come to my mind until I got this Nick Fury role-and I had a nine-image deal to be Nick Fury-Oh, I do what Bruce said. I have this character now,” said Jackson.

Jackson also has an integral part of Big Popcorn films. The 76-year-old has long since given up to have roles for the chance to win an award and said the Los Angeles Times in 2022 that he “got over it” years ago.

“I never wanted to be a measure of my success or failure as an actor,” he said. “My bench is my luck”

“Am I satisfied with what I do? I don’t make films of the statue,” he continued. “‘If you make this film, you will win an Oscar.’ No thanks.
