Santucci’s Square Pizza is opening soon in Cherry Hill, NJ

Santucci’s Original Square Pizza is coming to Cherry Hill and is big news for pizza lovers in South Jersey.

If you’ve never tried the famous square pizzas with the sauce on the cheese, you’re in for a real treat here.

This isn’t just pizza – it’s a piece of Philly history.

The new location will be in Holly Ravine Plaza on Springdale Road.

They are aiming for a soft opening in the next few weeks, but there is no exact date yet as they are still awaiting some inspections.

However, it’s almost here, so get ready!

The Cherry Hill location is operated by franchisees Steve Bombaro and John Dingler, who bring the Santucci’s experience to this side of the river.

For those who don’t know, Santucci’s has been a Philly favorite since 1959.

That’s when Joseph and Philomena Santucci opened their first pizza shop in Northeast Philadelphia.

They started something special with their square cakes baked in pans and topped with sauce over cheese – a style that was new and different at the time.

Some people thought it was strange, but it caught on and is now an iconic part of Philly’s food culture.

This Cherry Hill opening is part of a larger expansion.

Santucci’s is also planning new locations in Deptford and Brigantine.

The Deptford location is on Clements Bridge Road and the Brigantine shop is on Brigantine Blvd.

They’re even opening a location in University City in Philadelphia.

There are no official dates for any of these yet, but they are all in the works.

It’s clear that Santucci’s is growing quickly and fans couldn’t be happier.

This isn’t the first time Santucci has ventured outside of Philly.

They opened a location in Ventnor back in 2018 and took over an old hardware store.

In 2019, they brought their pizza to the Ocean City Boardwalk, although that location closed in 2022.

They most recently opened in Wildwood and are bringing their famous square cakes to the coast.

It’s clear they’ve been working hard to share their delicious pizza with even more people.

The story behind Santucci’s is all about family.

Joseph and Philomena started at Juniata Park in 1959 and their son Frank took over in 1976.

He maintained the original location for over 40 years before moving it to South Philly.

Despite all the changes, the Santucci family has remained true to their original recipe, which is why their pizza is still so popular today.

It’s worth noting that not all Santucci’s are the same.

There’s Joe Santucci’s Original Square Pizza Bar & Grill in Northeast Philly and Philomena Santucci’s Square Pizza in Warminster and Hatfield.

These are run by Frank’s siblings Joe and Teresa, and although they share the family name, they are separate from the main brand, Santucci’s.

Each has its own spin, but they all go back to the same roots.

The new Cherry Hill location is special.

It’s not just about bringing a new pizzeria to town – it’s about sharing a piece of Philly tradition.

Santucci’s is more than just pizza; It is the story of a family, their recipe and the love that has been put into each piece for decades.

If you’ve always eaten Santucci’s or just want to try it out, this new location is sure to be great.

As more locations open in South Jersey and beyond, it’s clear that Santucci’s Square Pies are here to stay.

So get ready to dig in and see what makes this pizza so special.

Once you try it, you’ll understand why people have been raving about it for over 60 years.
