School districts in Long Island announce delays before the snow storm on Tuesday evening

Dozens of Long Island school districts have already planned a delay of two hours for the start of the lesson on Wednesday, as another winter storm will cover the area overnight with several centimeters of snow.

Some of the larger districts that have released late starts are William Floyd, Brentwood, Patchogue-Medford, Three Village, Riverhead, Middle Country and South Country. Miller Place, Shoreham-Wading River, Port Jefferson, Rocky Point, Westhampton Beach and Eastport-South Manor also use the brakes at the school start on Wednesday.

With regard to the planned school closings for this day, the Calverton School reported that the school will be canceled on Wednesday.
