Schumer, ship, Jewish Democrats blast on President Donald Trump about Harvard Fining Freeze

Five Jewish democratic senators asked President Donald Trump to the calculation behind the punishment of Harvard University, their medical faculty and other Collegiate institutions across the country under what they described as pretext of anti -Semitism on campus.

The chairman of the Senate Minister, Chuck Schumer from New York and Sens. Adam Schiff from California, Jacky Rosen from Nevada, Brian Schatz from Hawaii and Richard Blumenthal from Connecticut, lambassed the president and said they were over the shit of anti -Semitism over time.

“Dear President Trump, we write about the attack of her government at universities, including threats and measures to retain funds or in any other way certain universities in which you say that it is an attempt to eliminate the very real threat from anti-Semitism on college campus,” the letter began on Thursday.

“We also write more as Jewish senators who have spoken strongly against increasing anti -Semitism here in the United States, including College Campus, and the university leaders to do more to do the anti -Semitism with an account and measures in the course of Hamas’ terrible attack on October 7th on October 7th.”

The quintet described Trump’s decisions to freeze the financing for Harvard and to concentrate on other schools in which “wide and extra-legal attacks” were present last year, and added that they were “worried and disturbed” by his decisions.

Legislators said that Trump’s actions seem to be “going far beyond the fight against anti -Semitism” and within the scope of the “use of a real crisis as an excuse to attack people and institutions that do not agree”.

With regard to Harvard, the senators in particular said to revoke the tax exemption status of the Ivy League College and the faculty “aroused radically left idiots” far beyond the constructive efforts to support Jewish students.

“Instead, they seem to be geared towards changing the functions of the university and in a way that is not related to the fight against anti -Semitism, and instead we fear that they undermine or even destroy these important institutions while they are behind the claims of the attack of anti -Semitism as a cover,” said the letter.

They offered an olive branch to work with republicans to combat anti -Semitism, but confirmed that their conviction of Trump’s overtures are “simply a means at the end” for the Mogul to destroy his ideological opposition.

They asked the president to respond until Wednesday with data and details that certain universities were directed towards federal financing freezing and what the calculation was.

“In the case of Harvard, what specific fees were the administration against Harvard raised with regard to anti -Semitism? Please describe your fees in certain details, including the name of certain cases and why you believe that the steps that Harvard has already taken to strengthen the response to anti -Semitism is not sufficient,” wrote.

They also said Trump targeted the Harvard Medical School and questioned their cancer research in order to question this specific decision.

“What is your legal justification … if almost every legal scientist has decided that you have no basis for this?” they closed.

Independent, Schiff said during a debate last year that he also received several anti -Semitic attacks, especially online.

According to Durbin, older legislators should consider leaving politics before they are carried out

“I take this problem very personally,” he said. “What happens on the College Campus, I think, is scary.”

In February Rosen came to Sen. Tim Scott, Rs.c.

“Anti -Semitism is on the rise across the country, especially on the College Campus, and the congress has the responsibility to do everything in its power to defend this hatred,” said Rosen in an explanation.

Schatz, who, as a first-class successor to the Senate Minister, Peits Dick Durbin, D-il.

“Criticism of Israel is not anti -Semitism. The deactivation of Hamas is not an Islamophobia. Protecting a civilian population is also not. I can extinguish this as soon as my comments become a chaos,” he wrote.

At the beginning of this year, Schumer published a book “Anti -Semitism in America: a warning” about his own life experiences.

In a tweet about the letter, Blumenthal anti -Semitism described “a real and terrible threat on campus – and has to be fought, but it should not be used as an excuse to go to goals and dissolve”.

Fox News Digital turned to the White House to get an answer to the common letter.

In an explanation, the spokesman for the White House said Taylor Rogers, Trump, “had more to combat anti-Semitism and to keep freedom of speaking than any other president in American history. The Trump government will continue to fight to keep the speech for American citizens and to turn against the anti-Semitic violence that our college campus on Joe Bidens Watch plagued. “
