Johnny Depp falls into his next film role.

Lionsgate announced on Monday, April 14th, that production in Spain is underway Day drinker, The film directed by Marc Webb with Depp, Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz.

The first photo of Depp in character shows the Oscar candidate with a drink in his hand when he looks threatening from the camera.

Depp, 61, plays a “mysterious” guest on board a private yacht who crosses the paths with a bartender on the boat, played by Glass onion Star CLINE, 27. According to a summary: “You will soon be involved with a criminal figure (Cruz) and have connected in a way that nobody comes.”

Webb, who last staged Disney’s live action Snow White The main role with Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot says in a statement: “I am pleased to start production with Johnny, Madelyn, Penélope and this incredible line -up.”

“We are in a beautiful location with a fantastic crew and an exciting, wild story to tell,” he adds. “It will be fun.”
