“Seven Creedence Clearwater Revival albums to be released on colored vinyl”

Good news for fans of Creedence Clearwater Revival: Seven of their albums appear on colored vinyl for the first time. The Albums—Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bayou Country, Green River, Willy and the Poor Boys, Cosmo’s Factory, Mardi Gras, And Pendulum– will all be available in February 2025 and can be pre-ordered now.

These seven albums represent Creedence Clearwater Revival’s entire studio discography. Although the band had only existed as CCR for about five years, they produced an impressive output. Their self-titled debut was released in July 1968 and they released their seventh and final LP, carnival in April 1972. But this music defined the era, as CCR became the first band to sign a contract to perform at Woodstock and produced 13 top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Even today, their work serves as a musical shorthand for the years around 1972, during the first administration of Richard Nixon, as seen in films such as Forrest Gump.

Looking at these seven albums as a whole, it is immediately clear that 1969 was the band’s most productive year from which the albums emerged Bayou country, Green River, And Willy and the poor boys.
