Shailene Woodley’s Big Little Lies son Iain Armitage supports her on Broadway

Shailene Woodley feels the love from her TV family!

Iain Armitage took to Instagram on Monday, December 30, to celebrate his appearance Big little lies Mother making her Broadway debut. The sweet post included a photo of the co-stars backstage, followed by throwback pictures of the two of them and a snap of Armitage, 16, holding up the show’s playbill.

“Last night I saw my first fake mom, @shailenewoodley, in a play on Broadway! She’s there cult of love at @2stnyc,” he captioned it. “When I was 7, I was called Big little lies. Before we drove to LA to start filming, I had a FaceTime conversation with Shailene and asked her what it was all going to be like. She assured me that it would be fun, “like playing,” and wow, she was absolutely right. She set the tone for me together with our excellent director Monsieur Jean-Marc and I’m sure we had a lot of fun Big little lies is the reason I stuck with acting. So it was a thrill to see Shailene on stage in this remarkable New York stage debut.”

“The play is about a family gathering at Christmas where all their tensions, traumas, loves, history and talents are on display, and I really enjoyed it,” he continued. “I hope Shailene continues to return to the theater because it makes me so happy to see her up there and I hope she knows how proud I am to be her fake son!”

The 33-year-old actress shared the post on her Instagram Stories and wrote: “My Ziggy came to the show last night. made my heart so happy.”

She also reposted one of the photos from her younger years and wrote: “He has grown into such an extraordinary young man. I can’t believe how much time has passed since then Big little lies.

Fans could soon see a reunion between Woodley and Armitage on screen, with Nicole Kidman apparently confirming a third part of the limited series in November 2023. It will be published in May Young Sheldon Star also teased the possible upcoming season.

“I haven’t heard anything completely official yet, but when incredibly intelligent people like our leading ladies start talking, it’s pretty hard for me not to listen,” he praised Woodley, Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern and Zoë Kravitz. “It would be an honor to be back.”

cult of love officially opened on December 12th, with Woodley starring opposite her ex Snowden Co-star Zachary Quinto. Second Stage Theater’s production tells the story of four adult siblings who return to their childhood home for a dramatic holiday season.

“It’s holiday season for the Dahl family!” An official synopsis of the play reads: “Dahl traditions include singing Christmas carols harmoniously at the drop of a hat, but the gathering is anything but harmonious. Old conflicts resurface, new issues are fought, and dinner takes absolutely forever to be served. Will the love the Dahls have for everyone be as great?” Others will be enough to get them through, or will this be their last Christmas together?

The cast also includes other stars making their Broadway debuts euphoriais Barbie Ferreira, GLOWis Christopher Lowell, YoungerThis is Molly Bernard, Star Wars: The Acolyteare Rebecca Henderson and the musician Christopher Sears.

They are also joined by theater veterans Mare Winningham, David Rasche and Roberta Colindrez.
