Shaq Maga? The NBA legend welcomes Trump in UFC years after the Rihanna Super Bowl Row

The NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, lovingly known as Shaq, exchanged friendly greetings on Saturday with President Donald Trump at UFC 314 in Miami. Videos of their short chat and whispering in the ears of the other appeared on social media, and several users wondered whether Shaq Maga had become.

Trump and some of his tight allies, including Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dana White and Kash Patel, were in the Kaseya Center for UFC 314. The president welcomed his followers and in the middle of the event. The Republican also whispered something in the ear of the four-time NBA champion.

After videos of their chats appeared, several social media users remembered the Times, which Shaq beat the president. The former La Lakers Center was also one of the few who reacted to Trump’s criticism of Rihanna after the Super Bowl half-time show in 2023.

After the singer was performed, Trump wrote socially: “Epic fail: Rihanna gave the worst half -time show in the Super Bowl story.”

The then presidential candidate added: “This after she had insulted much more than half of our nation, which has already been seriously decreasing with her bad and insulting language. Also for her stylist!”

Rapper Kodak Black, a trailer for voice trump, said: “Man, uncle Trump, said that shit.”

Shaq seemed to address both Kodak Black and Trump’s criticism of Rihanna in his podcast.

“All people who do not respect Rihanna have closed her face. She did a wonderful job. She is pregnant. She blessed it. She didn’t fell.

“If she was my wife and I saw one of you superstars, I have to get you to you,” added O’Neal. “Rapper. Presidential candidates. I have to climb you. Leave them alone.”

Trump is a “direct” guy

In 2016 Shaq was asked about Donald Trump. He said: “Donald Trump speaks to an eclectic audience … I just think he says it wrong. Donald is like a direct guy. He is a direct guy.”
