Shreveport police are investigating the Thanksgiving double murder

Shreveport Police Department Violent Crimes Detectives are currently investigating a double murder that occurred on Thanksgiving Day. On November 28th at approximately 12:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at 7702 Pines Road. Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was later identified as Deandre Daniels (11/19/95)sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD). Daniels later died from his injuries in the hospital.

Through the investigation, investigators learned that Daniels and the victim were identified Jamarion Bryant (06/21/06)They were familiar with each other. Daniels apparently approached Bryant, who was sitting in a vehicle. There was an exchange of gunfire between the two inside the vehicle. Bryant was able to get out of the vehicle and escape on foot, but collapsed shortly afterwards and died from his injuries.

Investigators are currently working to determine the motive behind the shooting. However, they stated that no other suspects were being sought in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
