Sippy murder case: No assessment of defendant made, polygraph expert admits

Amod Kumar Singh, deputy director of CFSL Delhi, who conducted the polygraph examination of Kalyani Singh, told the CBI court that he did not take notes to assess the general nervousness, personality, mental state and spoken language of the accused. Singh admitted the matter under cross-examination by defense counsel Sartej Singh Narula on Thursday.

The polygraph examination of Kalyani, an accused in the murder case of lawyer Sukhmanpreet Singh Siddhu alias Sippy Sidhu, was conducted by Amod on November 13, 2017.

In response to a question, the expert admitted that he prepared the report on January 25, 2018 while the test was conducted on November 13, 2017. During the chief’s examination, the expert said that twelve relevant questions were asked to Kalyani and she answered ‘no’.

Narula asked him that his own notes showed that Kalyani was neither calm nor relaxed and that she was scared and nervous. He also said that he asked 12 questions, 10 of which were almost the same as those asked by the investigating officer, while one question was rephrased and one question was added by him. On a question, the expert claimed that Kalyani’s questions and answers were recorded by his assistant under his supervision.
