Sir Keir Starmer will travel abroad over New Year after spending Christmas Day at Checkers in Buckinghamshire.

The Prime Minister enjoys his first celebratory period in the role after that victory in the parliamentary elections Beginning of July.

According to a Downing Street spokesman, he will spend time with his family in the coming days.

However, instead of doing this at Downing Street or their family home, the Starmers will head to the Checkers’ elegant and popular country estate in the Buckinghamshire countryside.

After spending December 25 there, the Prime Minister and his family will travel “abroad” on New Year’s Day – although where has not yet been confirmed.

The Prime Minister has received criticism of his actions in some quarters frequent trips abroad to different peaks.

Since Labor’s election victory in July, he has been flying to destinations, among other things Samoa, Brazil, AzerbaijanThe US, Saudi Arabia and many others.

However, these trips were exclusively for summits and international meetings and not for private vacation trips.

Reporters were also told that the prime minister spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday morning.

The pair discussed Britain’s support for Kiev in the war against Kiev Russia.

A spokesman said: “President Zelensky reflected on the situation at the front.” Ukraine and the need to ensure that Ukraine can weaken Russian forces in the long term.

“What happens in Ukraine in the coming weeks and months is important for Europe and NATO, and it was crucial that President Putin’s ambitions in Ukraine fail,” the leaders agreed.

This is coming Donald Trump’s return to the White House in less than a month, and his position that negotiations to end the conflict should begin quickly.
