Sister Wives Preview: Kody asks Robyn to “accept” him as a monogamist.

In one Sister Wives little foretaste, Kody Brown reveals that after three failed marriages he only has eyes for his remaining wife Robyn Brown – but is it okay for them to leave polygamy behind?

“Will you accept me as a monogamist?” Kody, 55, invites Robyn, 46, inside Us weeklyis an exclusive sneak peek from the Sunday, January 5th episode of the TLC series. “Is there a problem?”

A tearful Robyn pauses for a moment before answering her husband and promising, “I’ll always be with you.”

“I’m just having an identity crisis,” she adds.

Robyn became Kody’s fourth wife in 2014 when they officially married. That was when Kody and his first wife Meri Brownlegally divorced so he could adopt Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage. Kody then formed a spiritual connection with 53-year-old Meri that was similar to the bond he shared with his second and third wives. Janelle And Christine Brown.

The Brown family began to fall apart in November 2021 when Christine, 52, left Kody after more than 25 years together. Janelle, 55, followed suit and announced her split from Kody in December 2022.

Meri confirmed in January 2023 that she and Kody had separated after several difficult years. She quickly asked her church to “end” the marriage, which happened on camera in Season 19 of Sister Wives.

For her part, Robyn has been vocal about the heartache she says she has suffered because her fellow sisters have abandoned their family. She previously said that she imagined growing old with all three women and their respective children – a future that was no longer an option.

“Yes, I will always be with him and I love him,” Robyn says of her husband in the preview of Sunday’s episode, admitting, “That’s not what I wanted for my life.”

Robyn, who shares two children with Kody, goes on to tell him in the video that she’s “just stuck” after all the upheaval in her family.

Meanwhile, Kody tells his wife that he is ready for closure. “Whatever I did in those marriages is over,” he says. “Whatever happened between me and them, I’m finished.”

The patriarch declares, “I’m not going to fix it with Meri,” adding, “I’m not going to try to fix it with Janelle anymore. She’s done with me.”

Robyn seemed surprised by Kody’s comments about Janelle, who was the only one of his ex-girlfriends still living nearby in Arizona at the time of filming. (Christine moved to Utah and married David Woolley in October 2023. Meri, for her part, had Kody help her move into her bed and breakfast in Utah earlier this season.)

“She told you she was ready?” Robyn asks about Janelle. “Yes,” Kody replies. “Do you want to use those words?” Robyn asks, to which Kody says “yes” again.
