Slovenia reiterates its continued support for Ukraine “as long as it takes”

Slovenia will continue to support Ukraine in its efforts to deter Russian aggression.

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon spoke to reporters on the sidelines of a two-day NATO foreign ministers’ conference in Brussels, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Slovenia provides significant support to Ukraine in the form of material, humanitarian and military assistance and will continue to do so for as long as necessary, the minister said.

Fajon said that at a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Brussels, it will be possible to determine in more detail the needs and requirements for equipment and reaffirm Slovenia’s strong commitment and support to Ukraine.

The Slovenian minister also condemned Russia’s use of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine and the Kremlin’s irresponsible nuclear rhetoric.

Ukraine has the right to self-defense, and Slovenia has the duty and interest to help and resolutely support Ukraine, she stressed.

As reported, a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers was on the agenda in Brussels on Tuesday, December 3, during which strengthening support for Ukraine and countering hybrid attacks by Russia and other totalitarian regimes against allies were on the agenda .

On Tuesday, as part of this meeting, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place with the participation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
