Smash replaces Gumayusi for T1 against KT Rolster

T1S League of Legends squad Shuffle is not over yet, since the organization Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-Hyeong with sin ‘Smash’ Geum-Jae for his LCK-MATCH against KT Rolster and further emphasizes its six-man squad strategy

Smash was initially replaced by Gumayusi, although a massive potential excluded in the LCK Cup 2025, a step that was due to the intervention of the CEO of T1.

According to the official announcement, this decision was made exclusively by the coaching staff to give Gumayusi time to reset and to regain its shape.

“We now share this in the hope of alleviating the current confusion that was unfortunately shaped by a number of false assumptions – some of our own lack of clarity,” tweeted T1.

The organization also announced that there will be no changes in the squad in advance, unless a player is sick or injured.

“This serves to minimize both misunderstandings and unintentional strategic information. We hope that our fans can understand the spirit behind this decision and refer to the mind,” said T1.

With this latest shuffle, T1 will use its full six-man squad in the LCK. Apart from that, the upcoming game of the team against KT will mark a historic milestone for Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-Hyeok when he steps on stage for his 1000th LCK game.

While the fans are enthusiastic that Faker reaches this legendary milestone, many are also frustrated with the constant class layers of T1.

In the meantime, KT Rolster, who still registered a victory in the regular season of the LCK 2025, has decided to replace Lee ‘Perfect’ Seung-Min and Seo ‘Deokdam’ Dae-Gil by Shin ‘Min-Je and Park’ Paduck ‘Seok-Hyeon, which was equipped from the challenger’s trigger, from the Roster Challenger.
