Snowstorm tomorrow in Boston. How much did we get that far? – NBC Boston

If you are a fan of the snow, this was your season! And with a parade of winter storms that were still on the way to Boston in the next few days, we decided to see how the amounts of snow stacked here in Tittletown.

So far, Boston International Airport has received more than 16 -inch measurable snow more than 16 inches since December 8, 2024.

On this day the city received 0.3 inch snow. But that was just a starter before Mother Nature has so far provided our greatest snow of the season.

In fact, the airport received 5.2 inch snow on Friday, December 20, 2024! And several municipalities along the intergovernmental 95 corridor towards the north-east mass atmosphere received similar amounts, especially on the sea snow at the beginning of the day before the main storm system arrived.

The crews worked before the snow storm on Thursday to prepare streets on Thursday.

Our next snow arrived on Christmas Eve with 0.2 inches. But when Snow from these two previous events still stayed on the ground, we saw a white Christmas on December 25th. The national weather service recorded 3 inch snow on the floor on Christmas Day.

In 2025, several snow events have already seen. In fact, Martin Luther King Jr. vacation was the second largest snow that we have seen so far for this season).

For this two-day event we saw widespread 4-6 inch snow in the Boston area. Areas in the western mass and in the direction of Berkshires saw more than 7 inch snow!

From January 29 to February 3, three winter systems produced measurable snow in the Boston region. Our last event on February 3 was the largest during this period, with the airport received about 1.7 inches snow. Even the Cape saw a measurable snow during this event.

If you keep an eye on this winter season to last year, we have recorded a lot more snow this year. In fact, the airport received 0.2 inch snow in December 2023. We have 9 inch snow until January. And in February, Logan received only 0.5 inches.

So this year’s snow sums in Boston are stacked! And with more active weather this week we will follow more snow opportunities and show the numbers in your first alert forecast in your NBC10 Boston warning station.
