South Carolina is reportedly targeting TCU’s Jeremiah Donati as athletic director

The TCU athletic department could soon be in for a big change.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, South Carolina is pursuing TCU’s Jeremiah Donati as athletic director. Donati would take over a gig that began when South Carolina’s Ray Tanner took on a new role as the school’s athletic director emeritus and senior adviser to the school president.

Donati has played a key role in TCU’s athletic success since becoming the school’s athletic director in 2017. Donati took over the role for Chris Del Conte, who was hired at Texas.

Donati first came to TCU in 2011 and served as associate vice chancellor and associate athletics director for development. Under Donati, TCU has won eight team national championships and 11 Big 12 titles.
