Spotify Wrapped is almost here and the internet can’t wait: “Scared, actually”

Spotify Wrapped 2024 is almost here, offering a personalized reflection of your music journey. Spotify’s annual return provides its users and music lovers with a comprehensive overview of their listening habits, showcasing your top artists, tracks, genres and total streaming minutes. Although the official date has not been announced yet, The Wrapped will reportedly release on December 4 (Wednesday).

The buzz began to gain traction online when Spotify France’s official TikTok account announced a live event titled “On predit vos Wrapped 2024” (translated as “We predict your Wrapped 2024”). The date and time given was December 4th from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.

For fans in India, this meant 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. In other time zones, the event will take place on December 3rd from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Many users have shared their excitement on X and other social media platforms.

“Happy Spotify day,” one user commented. “I’m actually worried about my Spotify package because it’s going to be so random,” another X user said.

“@Spotify if you don’t give up on Spotify by the end of the week I’m switching to Apple Music IDC altogether,” wrote one angry user.

According to Forbes, Spotify Wrapped launched in 2015 as a “Year in Music” feature, giving users insight into their top artists and listening habits from the past year. The feature was renamed “Spotify Wrapped” in 2016 and has continued to grow in popularity and detail ever since.

Over the years, Spotify has improved its storytelling through engaging images and interactive features, making the experience more immersive than ever. Spotify Wrapped 2024 is a bit late, as the music streaming giant released Wrapped 2023 on November 29th, the 2022 edition on November 30th, and the 2021 and 2020 versions on December 1st.
