Stanford MBB welcomes Kent State in Maples for Nit

On Sunday at 6:00 p.m. PT on ESPN2, Stanford Herren’s Basketball Kent State will welcome NIT in the second round to Maples Pavilion.

Last time: On Tuesday, Stanford Cal State defeated Northridge 87-70. Maxime Raynaud (22 points & 11 rebounds) and Oziyah seller (20 points) led the way for the cardinal.

Summary: Stanford MBB drives past CSUN in the first round from NIT

On Kent State: The golden flashes are 11-7 in the Mac at 23-11. In their opening game, they annoyed St. Bonaventure on street 75-56. Now make the Cross Country flight to the Bay Area to see if you can annoy the cardinal on the farm.

The leading scorer for the golden flash is senior guard Jalen SullingerThe average 15.3 points per game at 42.2% shoot out of the field, 37.4% from 3-point range and 87.3% shoot from the foul line. Redshirt Senior Forward VonCameron Davis (14.6 points) and doctoral student guard Morgan Safford (10.6 points & 6.1 rebounds) also achieve in two numbers.

As a team, the Golden Blinces are an average of 73.8 points per game at 43.8% shoot out of the field, 31.8% shoot from 3-point range and 74.6% shoot from the foul line. They have an average of 37.1 rebounds, 12.6 assists, 7.6 steals, 3.2 blocks and 11.8 sales per game. The average A + 5.1 -rebound margin and a sales edge of +1.1. Her opponents an average of 68.0 points per game at 41.8% shoot out of the field, 31.5% shoot from 3-point range and 74.6% shoot from the foul line.

Key to the game: For Stanford, the first thing you need to do is feed the big man. If Maxime Raynaud, who achieves an average of 20.1 points & 10.6 rebounds per game, has another average or above -average performance, Stanford should be fine.

Second, Stanford Sullinger and Davis must contain. These two boys really set the tone and lead the way for the golden flashes. If Stanford can keep these boys under closure, you should be in a good place to win this game.

After all, Stanford has to win the free throw. If Stanford gets the team more often to the free -wire line and shoots a better percentage, it should be fine.

Forecast: I won Stanford with an end result of 77-69. I think it will be a competitive game, but the cardinal will be at the top.
