Star promise to give her everything

TANZANIA: The Taifa stars are preparing with confidence and determination for their upcoming qualifiers -Group E against Morocco, which will take place tomorrow in the Stade Municipal in Oujda. Despite the challenges of an impressive Moroccan side, players are ready to give everything.

Skipper Simon Msuva underlined the importance of this game for the World Cup efforts. “We are here to fight for the qualification, and a victory in this encounter will mean a lot for the country,” said MSUVA.

“It will expand our chance to qualify for the World Cup and we are ready to give it everything we have. We will fight until our last breath.” Tanzania is currently taking third place in the qualification campaign after scoring six points from three games. They secured two victories and suffered a loss. The only game they lost was against Morocco while scoring 1-0 victories against both Zambia and Niger.



The group winner will qualify directly for the World Cup, and the runner-up may have the opportunity to compete in the second round to promote the chance of the play-offs of the Inter Confederation.

MSUVA also discussed the tactical approach that the team wants to accept for the ownership style in Morocco. “It’s all about commitment. We have to get out, press and increase the pace to beat our opponents. They prefer it more than in speed and we believe that if we play with intensity, we can be successful,” he said.

Defender Shomari Kapomb recognized the difficulties of Morocco, especially at her home, but remains optimistic. “In view of the Morocco profile and the fact that we play away, the match is not easy. However, we have a plan and we will do our best to do it,” noted Kapomb.

Striker Seleman Mwalimu repeated similar feelings and pressed confidence in the team’s skills. “Tanzania has a good squad and with the experience we have, I think we can do it better,” said Mwalimu.

He also mentioned the team’s adaptation to the cold weather in Oujda and explained: “The weather here is cold, but we have adapted perfectly.”
