State Dept. El Salvador gives a massive upgrade while there are US immigrants disappears

The Trump government wants the Americans to feel safe to travel to El Salvador, even when the Salvadoranian regime arrived hundreds of immigrants who were hastily flown in chains there.

On Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry lowered a travel consultant for El Salvador from 2 to 1, the lowest possible level, even if the Ministry of Justice fights against the order of a judge, to return to the US man who was sent to a Salvadora prison with “errors”. Despite the human rights groups, the new advice, which is planned for a planned visit to Salvadora President Nayib Bukele, was denounced for human rights violations that have become a hero of the Maga movement.

As Bloomberg reported:

The administration of President Donald Trump increased El Salvador’s travel safety name in the best possible way on Tuesday and provided it in Western Europe about the countries in Western Europe before visiting President Nayib Bukele in the White House next week. “Exercises normal precautions in El Salvador,” said the Foreign Ministry in its updated travel advice. Gang activity has decreased in the past three years. This has caused a decline in violent crimes and murders. ‘

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs implies that El Salvador’s gangs have made it safe for the Americans to travel there. But for years human rights groups have raised the alarm for Bukeles suspension of civil rights, which made this procedure possible – an effort that is believed to be enthusiastic about many children and has subjected numerous prisoners of brutal, often fatal punishment.

Bloomberg notes that the new travel consultant effectively means that the USA EL Salvador rates more secure for trips than places such as France or the United Kingdom:

The upgrade to level 1 brings El Salvador to some traditional travel destinations for Americans such as France, Great Britain and Italy. They are all at level 2, a recommendation to “change increased caution” because terrorists are threatened. Some other nations in Central America, including Panama and Costa Rica, are level 2 with neighboring Guatemala Level 3, which contains a recommendation to “rethink” trips.

The Trump government clearly signals its support for the Salvadoranian regime, which indicates that Trump and companies are planning to maintain their illiberal relationship with Bukele – and possibly even try to expand it.

A recently carried out CBS news analysis showed that the vast majority of the 238 US immigrants sent by the Trump administration to El Salvador have no records of committing a crime (neither MSNBC nor NBC News have checked this report). A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security told CBS News that the men are “actually terrorists, human rights models, gangsters and more. They simply have no rap leaf in the USA”.

This context – and the documented susceptibility to this government – is worth considering, since the Trump administration has the opportunity to expand its authoritarian politics in order to disappear in El Salvador’s prisons.

In February, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio said that Bukele had imprisoned the US citizens in El Salvador.

When Trump was asked about the idea again last Sunday, he replied: “I love that.” He added that he would be “honored” to send detained Americans to El Salvador before he found: “I don’t know what the law says about it.”
