Streaming ratings for November 4-10, 2024

Off the charts after a week, Netflix’s Outer Banks returned to the streaming rankings and shot to number 1 overall with the release of the latest episodes.

According to Nielsen, the teen drama was watched for 1.23 billion minutes during the week of November 4-10; The second half of season four premiered on November 7th. This is the highest weekly tally for Outer Banks since the season premiered in October, although still well below the best performances of the third season.

The diplomat (1.22 billion minutes) came in a close second, increased slightly compared to the premiere week and remained in second place overall. The Lincoln Lawyer dropped its No. 1 ranking but remained above the billion-minute mark with 1.11 billion minutes of watch time.

The top new entry in the streaming charts of the week was gossip Girl. The former CW series recorded 617 million viewing minutes after its return to Netflix (it is also streaming on Max and Hulu via a Max add-on). Nielsen notes that nearly half of the show’s audience consisted of teenagers and adults under 35, suggesting that a new group of viewers who may have been too young for the original performance are discovering the show.

Hulus Just murders in the building (293 million minutes) and Disney+’s Agatha all the time (287 million) remained in the top 10 original series a week after their respective season finales. Despicable Me 4 (478 million minutes on Peacock) topped the film rankings and those of Netflix Meet me next Christmas (438 million), the annual influx of holiday stocks began a little earlier than usual.

Nielsen streaming ratings reflect viewing on televisions only and do not include minutes viewed on computers or mobile devices. Ratings only measure US audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for November 4-10, 2024 can be found below.
