Team news: Daniel Farke names the starting XI for the game against Stoke City

Leeds United face Stoke City away on Boxing Day, kicking off at 8pm in the Sky Bet Championship.

Ahead of the game, Daniel Farke has picked his starting XI to face the Potters at the bet365 Stadium.

Illan Meslier starts in goal, the defense consists of Jayden Bogle, Pascal Struijk, Joe Rodon and Sam Byram.

Ethan Ampadu returns to the heart of the midfield and wears the captain’s armband. He will partner Joe Rothwell, while Dan James and Manor Solomon will look to continue their recent good form on the wings.

Brenden Aaronson retains his place behind the striker after putting in a strong performance himself, with top scorer Joel Piroe taking the lead this evening.

The players on the substitutes’ bench are Karl Darlow, Patrick Bamford, Largie Ramazani, Mateo Joseph, Ao Tanaka, Josuha Guilavogui, Wilfried Gnonto, Isaac Schmidt and James Debayo.
