Teens with guns arrested for leading police on chase in stolen car

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly leading police on a chase through Shreveport in a stolen car. Police also say the two men were armed.

On Monday, December 2nd, around 8 p.m., SPD officers patrolling a neighborhood attempted to stop a car near E 78th Street and Henderson Avenue. The driver refused to stop, police said, and a chase began.

According to police, during the chase, a passenger got out of the car, pointed a gun at the officers and then ran away. The officers did not shoot at the suspect but were able to catch him. He was identified as Ian Clark, 17. Police said they found a fully automatic handgun in his possession.

The driver of the car was also arrested after officers discovered the car was stolen. He was identified as Kenii Washington, also 17. According to police, he was also armed with a gun.

According to police, the stolen car was returned to its rightful owner.
