Tennis legend Andre Agassi, Pro Pickleball debut to celebrate in a double game with Anna Leigh Waters

Agassi is not a stranger for pickleball. In 2023 he took part in the Pickleball Slam. The event, at which Michael Chang, John Mcenroe and Andy Roddick were also presented, marked the first time that pickleball was broadcast on ESPN.

Since then, Agassi has apparently developed an affinity for sport. In March he published his own professional Pickleball paddle with Joola.

Waters is considered the best pickle ball player in the world. She is currently classified as a top singles, double and mixed players in the world. Waters has been a main support in sports since 2019 when she was only 12 years old. Her aggressive style of play is attributed to how professionals play pickleball, and is the reason why Waters wanted to join Agassi for the event. Agassi was considered an aggressive tennis player in his heyday.

The US Open pickleball championships start on Saturday and are broadcast in the CBS Sports Network. Agassi and waters are expected to go into the court at noon.
