Terry Bradshaw’s heartbreak over selling his £17million home he ‘loved so much’ | NFL | sport

Terry Bradshaw sold his impressive 744-acre Oklahoma ranch in 2022 after two cancer diagnoses. The 76-year-old had a standout career with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1970 to 1983, winning four Super Bowls, two of which he was named MVP, earning an NFL 1970s All-Decade team award and earning an SI Sportsman from the Annual Award.

Since his retirement, Bradshaw has become one of America’s most respected sportscasters, working with major networks such as CBS and FOX. However, life was not without its challenges for the former quarterback. In November 2021, Bradshaw was diagnosed with bladder cancer, and in March of the following year, he discovered that he had Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) on the left side of his neck.

Despite these health issues, the NFL legend has since received the all-clear after receiving treatment at two different hospitals, but his life has changed significantly since his diagnosis. One of the most significant changes was the sale of his custom ranch in Thackerville, Oklahoma in 2022, which he was forced to sell following his diagnosis due to this family’s changing needs.

The home, which was Bradshaw’s home for over two decades, was originally listed for 17 million pounds ($22.5 million), but the final sale price was never revealed. Bradshaw discussed his battle with cancer in a Facebook Live session in October 2022, just a month after putting his property on the market, and cleared up rumors about his health.

He explained: “People say I’m sick and dying, okay, so let’s put that rumor to rest. I’m not sick, I’m not dying while I’m sitting here doing this interview with you.”

Bradshaw’s impressive former residence sits above the Red River and spans a generous 8,600 square feet. It has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, an expansive 1,000-square-foot terrace, an outdoor kitchen, as well as a sauna, bar, fireplace and fire pit.

Bradshaw, who has a passion for horseback riding, has carefully incorporated riding trails into his property, as well as several barns and an expansive six-bay store for ample storage. The ranch also featured a fully equipped laboratory, state-of-the-art breeding facilities, and perfectly maintained livestock pens hidden on the property.

When he moved with his wife to a more comfortable ranch in Saint Jo, Texas, Bradshaw maintained a personal connection to his former home, having been closely involved in its creation. He confessed, “I loved this ranch so much that I built it from the ground up, so I was very attached to it.”

He added, “But between my own schedule, the television series, my family’s changing needs, our horse and livestock business, and many other commitments, neither timing nor opportunity were ever on our side or completely aligned.” About his new residence Said Bradshaw: “Tammy and I really didn’t want to take the final break until we found the perfect sunset opportunity to do what we enjoy, on a smaller scale and in a place that we absolutely love, and have that we found.” This.”
