Tesla continues to reduce the price of model Y in the stock

The “old” model Y is still there and cheaper than ever.

While the new model Y is now available, the pre-generation Y is dismantled to delete inventory. Discounts appear on the listing page as a “price adjustment” (see below).

Current reduced model Y compared to a new model Y

• RWD model Y before the generation : $ 41,840 (starting stock) in front of the federal tax credit and $ 34,340 with creditworthiness (before tax and fees).
• AWD model y before the generation : $ 44,150 (starting stock) before the federal government’s tax credit and $ 36,650 with the loan (before tax and fees).
• New AWD Launch Edition Model Y: $ 59,990 before the federal tax credit and $ 52,490 with the loan (before taxes and fees). Deliveries begin in March.

There is a wide price gap between reduced predecessor generation Model Y and new model Y, since the new Y is only available as a fully loaded all-wheel drive launch edition for ordering. But that will change soon if the new version of improvements such as a smoother drive and a quieter cabin is offered-in all the drugs: rear-wheel drive, basic all-wheel drive and performance. Favorable versions of the new model Y are already ordered in Europe at around 46,000 euros ($ 48,000) for the rear version for sale and 570 euros per month (just under $ 600).

Why the US Launch Edition is expensive

The new model -Y -Launch Edition is fully loaded (thus the high price) with standard functions:

• Full driving (a value of 8,000 US dollars, included)
• Track package (a value of $ 3,500, included)
• Selection of all bikes (up to $ 2,000, included)
• Selection of all paint paint (up to 2,000 US dollars, included)
• Selection of each interior color (up to $ 1,000, included)
