Officials in New Jersey are preparing to enforce new out-of-pocket limits for several critical prescription drugs starting January 1, 2025.

Gov. Phil Murphy signed a package of laws last year that made New Jersey the second state in the country to limit consumer spending on asthma inhalers and EpiPens in addition to insulin.

At the start of the law, state officials issued a bulletin to provide guidance to carriers.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP – Police say they are searching for a driver who crashed into a wall and did poor cleanup work before fleeing the scene.

According to Gloucester Township police, the accident occurred early Friday morning

An SUV traveling west on Evesham Road crashed into a retaining wall as the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Woodland Avenue. Photos of the scene showed debris strewn across the sidewalk.

Two major New Jersey companies have announced four separate rounds of layoffs this year alone.

Lawrenceville-based Bristol Myers Squibb and Newark-based Prudential Financial both rounded out earlier cuts with separate announcements in September and November.

In either case, most of the cuts would take effect in the new year, according to WARN notices filed with state labor regulators.

A third major New Jersey-based company, Johnson and Johnson, also announced 231 layoffs in September effective at the end of December.

You probably learned in kindergarten that Thanksgiving originated in 1621, when Pilgrims and Native Americans celebrated together in the Plymouth Colony.

This is generally considered the first Thanksgiving. In fact, Thanksgiving was only celebrated twice over the next 100 years.
