The 15 simple things that can lighten your day UK | News

A smile from a good -looking stranger who cooked and grabbed for the perfect parking lot are only three of the ways how small victories illuminate a British day.

At the top of the list (62 percent) in unexpected joys that you can shine is the moment when you stumble across cash in an old handbag or wallet.

New research results show that the nation finds luck in a whole series of everyday joys, including good hair days (40 percent) and the selection of the fastest supermarket fund (32 percent).

The study by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar shows that we are increasingly enjoying up to 15 everyday “little victories” every week.

And surprising 27 percent of us prioritize that these moments are bought in front of important milestones such as a baby or a house.

The study in which 2,000 people were interviewed showed that most British (77 percent) believe that it is the little things they make them smile.

These little victories add up to great moments of joy, from the final attacks of this gnawing task (53 percent) to an unexpected salary (45 percent).

The other popular victories include unexpected sun during a walk (41 percent), which has the afternoon (31 percent) or the suitcase first on the luggage carousel (27 percent).

Over half of the nation admits to celebrate their little victory by telling others (52 percent). A quarter explains that you dance (27 percent) or a refreshing drink on the sofa (21 percent).

For half of the respondents, everything helps to keep them motivated (61 percent) and increase their mood and self -confidence (48 percent).

While more than three quarters (78 percent) of all respondents believe that small victories become more important in adult life, it is the age group from 18 to 29, which feel their effects the most and have an average of 18.4 small victories per week.

TV personality and moderator Sam Thompson says of the findings: “I always start my day and always say that it will be good, but they are the little victories that make it good!

“I was surprised at how many victories I actually noticed when I looked for them – from nailing a tricky recipe to catching up my sister. Celebrating these little moments together makes them even better.”

The life coach Selina Barker adds: “In our fast -moving world, it can be easy to overlook the little victories and chase after the next big thing.”

“When we change our focus to recognize and celebrate the little daily victories in life by enjoying a favorite drink, dancing in the kitchen or highly strength -this can make a real difference.

“If you bend this muscle from ‘celebration’ every day, we promote our mood, our self -confidence and motivates us to pursue our goals and dreams.

“At first it could be difficult to change your way of thinking to notice that these moments feel difficult, but if you do it, you will be surprised how naturally you start to recognize and celebrate them. And how much you enjoy it!”

Emma George, marketing manager at Coca-Cola, added: “It is important to celebrate the small victories and special moments of life.”
