The 31st SAG Awards are today. Here is what is to know

The 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday evening should offer the last note in an unusually unpredictable Oscar race.

Who is nominated by SAG?

“Wicked” comes in the leading film candidate with five nods, while “Shōgun” leads the TV categories.

In addition to the competition categories, Jane Fonda receives the SAG Life Achievement Award.

How the ceremony plans to tackle the forest fires in Los Angeles

The devastating forest fires, which began at the beginning of January, forced the guild to terminate their personal nominations and instead spend a press release. The guild launched a disaster aid fund for SAG-ATTRA members who are affected by the fires. The producers said the show will honor those affected.
