The AirPods Pro that I use every day are now 22% off for Black Friday

My faithful couple AirPods Pro is probably the most used technology in my life – and that means a lot to a technology editor!

Because they have a fantastic combination of features, including active noise cancellation, an effective transparency mode, rich and detailed sound quality, hands-free access to Siri, and a comfortable all-day fit, they go with me almost everywhere.

They’re among the most popular headphones around for good reason: their sound is crisp and clear, and they offer the best noise cancellation and transparency of any wireless headphones you can buy. It’s unusual to see Apple deals during Black Friday, so I’m surprised they’ve dropped back to their lowest price ever for Black Friday 2024, shortly after they were last seen during Amazon’s Prime event in October were on offer. They’re currently down to £179, a 22% price cut over Apple’s flagship headphones.

I’ll bring these with me wireless earbuds on the way to work, when traveling abroad, to give myself peace of mind in the office, to wear at home when vacuuming and much more.

They are not just some of them best noise canceling headphones Money can buy you, but they’re also surprisingly small and portable and full of nice integrations for the iPhone, iPad And Mac Users like automatically switching between your Apple devices, Siri announcing your notifications, and sharing audio with other AirPods users.

To be honest, one of the only downsides has always been that they represent a bit of an investment with their RRP of £229, which is remedied by this great Black Friday tech deal. I’d buy them while supplies last – they’re unlikely to come back at such a low price until the next time there’s a big sales extravaganza!

Overall, if you use Apple devices and want the best earbuds you can buy, there’s nothing else that fits into the Apple ecosystem as seamlessly as the best AirPods and that is the first choice.

I use mine when I watch TV on an Apple TV 4K, to answer calls from my iPhone, and to block out noise in the office all day. They have an impressive six hours of battery life on a single charge, which extends to 30 hours of listening time when you factor in the extra juice in the charging case.

The 2nd generation AirPods Pro have twice the noise cancellation capacity of the previous generation.

They are on an equal footing Evil And Sony When it comes to active noise cancellation, they’re clearly best in class even in Transparency mode, meaning you can switch to that mode and have a conversation without having to take the earbuds out.

I’m also a big fan of the “Adaptive Audio” mode, which combines some noise cancellation with the ability to hear what’s going on around you – it feels like magic at work and ensures you get important sounds in nearby hears a car etc. cyclist that you might not have heard if the full noise cancellation blocks it out.
