The Brooklyn Park Library is launching a long-term Chromebook loan program

The Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) has announced the launch of its first long-term Chromebook lending program at its Brooklyn Park branch. Designed to address the digital divide, the initiative allows Brooklyn Park Library visitors to borrow one of 56 Chromebook kits – each equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot – for up to 12 weeks.

Respond to community demand

This new program is in response to the community’s growing demand for access to technology. In the last six months, AACPL has loaned out more than 470 Wi-Fi hotspots and 300 Chromebooks across its branches. However, demand continues to exceed supply: almost 200 customers are on the hotspot waiting list and over 110 are waiting for Chromebooks.

Financing partner

The long-term loan program is made possible through support from Wellpoint, T-Mobile and the Anne Arundel County Public Library Foundation. Your contributions enable AACPL to provide expanded access to vital technology resources to the residents who need them most.

For more information about the program or to reserve a Chromebook kit, visit the AACPL website or contact the Brooklyn Park Library directly.
