The Chiefs find another way to win by beating the Raiders with a late rally

Some teams create ways to lose. The Kansas City Chiefs are discovering ways to win.

On Black Friday, the Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17 at Arrowhead Stadium.

It’s the 14th straight one-score win for Kansas City and it was a thriller. With the win, the Chiefs secured a spot in the playoffs.

With 1:56 minutes left, Las Vegas took over without a timeout.

Aidan O’Connell, returning from IR, drove LV to the Kansas City 32.

But disaster struck on a play that only lasted 15 seconds.

There was a bad snap when a penalty flag was thrown. The ball was recovered by Nick Bolton and Kansas City had the victory.

The right guard tapped the middle as O’Connell tried to rush. O’Connell wasn’t ready for the snap and the CHiefs were all over the football.

The illegal shift penalty against the Raiders was denied and the Chiefs were 11-1 and the Raiders were 2-10.

Incredibly, the Chiefs got four field goals from Matthew Wright, their third kicker of the season.

Harrison Butker was on IR. Spencer Shrader, who has been excellent as a substitute, was sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Wright checked in and was 4 of 5 on field goal attempts.

The Raiders’ Anders Carlson missed three of four attempts and only scored in 27 minutes.

And that’s the difference between 11-1 and 2-10.
