The “crazy Fridays” is no longer out

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis return to another funny, “freaky” family affair with a four-way body exchange

“Freaky Friday’s” Body Swapping Chaos, which enchants the audience in 2003, celebrates a comeback now with a multi-tender application in “Freakier Friday”.

Disney has just published the first trailer of the sequel to “Freakier Friday”, who reunited Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in their beloved mother-daughter roles. This sequel will come to cinemas on August 8, 2025 and arrives on time with the wave of the nostalgia of the 2000s, which is popular today.

While Hollywood’s current restarting culture often draws sigh and moan, the return of Lohan and Curtis’ special mother-daughter duo has really excitedly-easy, because everyone secretly loves “Freaky Friday” and the thought of going in our mother’s shoes.

While it was 21 years since the original film, the duo looks remarkably unchanged (the facial cards are strong here).

The “Freakier Friday” trailer begins with a Fortune Pelter who cryptically says Anna (Lindsay Lohan) and Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis): “This is interesting … their lives, it is as if they had already poured themselves together. They ran into the way of the other.” When the mother and daughter exchange unpleasant and knowledgeable looks, the fortune teller continues: “You have learned a lesson – a lesson that can serve you again”, very much for your dismay.

The trailer then cuts a supernatural series of events. The earth trembles, electricity fluctuates and we see four characters who wake up to scream their reflections in the mirror.

The four-way body exchange

In contrast to the original film, in which only a mother-daughter exchange between Curtis and Lohan appeared, “Freakier Friday” continues the concept with a four-way body exchange.

In one scene a young girl says: “Harfe, it’s mother” while another young girl with a British accent explains: “I’m grandma, darling.” It follows a lot of screaming and passionate, with someone in Tess’ body the amusing line shouts out: “My face looks like a Birkin bag that was left out in the sun to rot!”

Set in the melody Chappell Roan’s “Hot to go!”, The trailer shows an assembly of the characters that pretend each other while performing activities such as tennis, surfing and driving in a glowing convertible. We also throw the good -natured chad Michael Murray, who performed in the original film and made a large entrance on a motorcycle.

The new generation

According to the official Logline of Disney, “Tess and Anna discover that Blitz could actually strike twice.”

While the trailer does not explicitly explicit Casting information proposes a multi -folding approach when two modern families work together.

The story reports on Anna’s 14-year-old daughter Harper (Julia Butters), who was described as a devilty surfer with a sharp teenager-together with her sharp, soon step-sister-lily (Sophia Hammons), the daughter of Anna’s fiancé, British restaurateur Eric Davies. According to Casting Calls, the two teenagers do not see “Eye to Eye” in the film.

The plan seems to contain Harper to exchange the body with her mother Anna, similar to in the first film, while Lily exchanges Tess with her soon -to -be depinting machine and creates a more complex dynamic. It is also mentioned that Anna plans to move to London when it comes to Tess.

Nisha Ganatra leads the sequel and has experience from projects such as “The Cheetah Girls: One World” (2008) and “Late Night” (2019) with Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling.

At Disney’s D23 event, Lohan expressed her excitement about the “Freakier Friday” project. “It’s more fun, it’s more emotional and it’s all for you … Seriously, the only reason why we are here again is because of your love. So.”

While some details from the audition notes may not reflect the final script, one thing certainly doesn’t have to wait much longer until this popular franchise franchise returns with a fresh, multifaceted turn.
