The December 25 lottery drawing had a jackpot of $124 million

The Powerball jackpot once again remains unclaimed after the drawing on Christmas Day, but a lucky ticket caused a Christmas miracle.

Had someone won Wednesday’s drawing, they would have taken home an estimated jackpot of $124 million, which the lottery said had an estimated cash value of $56 million.

However, since no one won, the Powerball jackpot has increased to a whopping $145 million, with an estimated cash value of $66.2 million.

The jackpot was reset to $20 million on December 7 after the $256 million winning ticket was sold in New York.

In October, a lucky player in Georgia won the $478 million jackpot, and in August, a lucky player from California won the $44.3 million Powerball jackpot. The week before, a player from Pennsylvania won a $213.8 million jackpot.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, December 25th are 15, 26, 27, 30 and 35. The red Powerball was 3 and the Power Play was 3X.

Has anyone won the Powerball?

There were no top prize winners for Wednesday’s jackpot, and no one won the $1 million Match 5 prize. But one lucky ticket in New Jersey won the Match 5 + Power Play’s $2 million prize.

When is the next drawing?

The next Powerball drawing will take place on Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 p.m. ET

The jackpot has an estimated value of $145 million and a cash value of $66.2 million.

How to play the Powerball

To purchase a $2 Powerball ticket, you’ll need to visit your local supermarket, gas station or convenience store – and in a few states you can purchase tickets online.

To play, you must select a total of six numbers to mark on your ticket. Five numbers are white balls ranging from 1 to 69. The Powerball is red and one number is between 1 and 26.

If you want to increase your chances of winning, you can add a “Power Play” for $1, which increases winnings for all non-jackpot prizes. This addition can multiply winnings 2X, 3X, 4X, 5Xor 10X.

Players can also ask a cashier for a “quick pick,” in which the cashier gives you computer-generated numbers on a printed Powerball ticket.

The drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. If there is no jackpot winner, the cash prize increases by millions.

Tickets can be purchased in person at gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores. Some airport terminals may also sell lottery tickets.
