The Eagles are too much for the Ravens, winning the eighth game in a row

Despite falling 9-0 to the Baltimore Ravens, the Philadelphia Eagles were too much for Baltimore on Sunday, winning 24-19.

The Eagles found their rhythm in the second quarter when QB Jalen Hurts hit TE Dallas Goedert for a 17-yard TD. Philadelphia took a 14-9 lead just before halftime with a one-yard TD run by Hurts.

An important focus at the start of the game was the duel between the NFL’s two best running backs.

It was a similar story for Eagles RB Saquon Barkley. Barkley had 23 carries for 107 yards and a TD. Barkley continues to strengthen his MVP position with five touchdowns in his last three games and 13 total touchdowns this season.

Derrick Henry, who entered the game with the second-most rush yards behind Barkley this season, had just 82 rush yards and no touchdowns.

The Eagles have now won eight games in a row, largely due to posting the best yardage in the league. With 193.4 rush yards per game, the Eagles lead the NFL by a significant margin.

Except for Baltimore (180.2), no other team has more than 154.4 rush yards per game (Detroit Lions). Philadelphia also leads the NFL in yards allowed (274.6).

While the Eagles still have to play against national rivals Pittsburgh (9:3) and away against the Washington Commanders (8:5), the remaining schedule for Philadelphia looks manageable.

It will be difficult to stop Philadelphia from advancing if the Eagles continue to run the ball effectively and play at a high level on defense.
