Despite their best efforts, those who teach love the teaching of Jesus Christ can ask whether they are appropriate enough. “Doubts can sneak into their minds,” said President Henry B. Eyring. “You could ask yourself whether you know the teaching of the bulletin well enough to effectively teach them.”

The effects of teaching his teaching may not always be obvious. “If you have already attempted to teach it, you may be wondering why the positive effects are not more visible,” said the second consultant in the first presidency.

President Eyring encouraged such believers: “Do not give in to this doubt. Turn to God for help.”

In a video of March 30, with the title “The Word of the Mighty Effect of God on the Spirit”, which was published on the YouTube channel of the Church, he invited the listeners to trust God while they share the gospel of the Saving with the relatives.

“We all have family members who love, who are trying to make all the children of God unhappy,” said President Eyring.

This can lead to sleepless nights and worry about the loved ones. “We tried to surround the people who are at risk with every force. We have committed to prayer for you, we loved you, we gave the best possible example.”

He quoted the book of the Mormon prophet Alma, who explained the positive effect of the Word of God on those to whom he preached.

“And now, as the preaching of the word had a great tendency to do what was – yes, yes, it had a stronger effect on the people’s thoughts than the sword or something else that had happened to them” (Alma 31: 5).

Those who teach the relatives the teaching of Jesus Christ can find hope in the biblical recording of families, said President Eyring.

“We read from those who turned away from what they were taught or who were struggled with God for forgiveness,” as Enos, Alma the Younger and the sons of Mosiah from Mormon.

For example, when Enos went hunting in a forest in Enos 1: his father’s words encouraged Enos, and he reported: “I kneeled down in front of my creator, and I cried to him in a powerful prayer and plead for my own soul” (verse 4).

Alma, the younger one, was “attended by the memory of my many sins” in Alma 36, ​​but he writes: “I also remembered to hear my father to the people at predicting the coming of a Jesus of Christ, a son of God to pay the sins of the world” (verse 17). He continues: “When my mind stated this idea, I cried in my heart: O Jesus, you Son of God, I am gracious to me” (verse 18).

And the sons of Mosiah, similarly to the reversal, became “instruments in the hands of God to bring many to know the truth” (Mosiah 27: 35-36).
