The extravagance of Coachella 2025 is excessively dystopically in the middle of the current rushing of the federal government

Spring was officially created on the west coast, and thousands of music lovers drove to Indio, California, to visit one of the largest music festivals in the United States. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a notorious affair in the Empire Polo Club.

But this year the extravagance of the festival was increasingly authoritarian politics against the background of today. Be it Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”, Green Days changed texts to support Palestine or Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) When holding an introductory speech for Clairo, it is obvious that the federal government shakes the entire nation or at least the entertainment industry.

In his speech, Sanders warned: “This country faces a few very difficult challenges”, which an audience can be heard on how “how the oligarchy” calls.

Sanders aimed at Coachella’s audience, which is mostly young. According to a report by the AEG, 73% of Coachella participants were between 18 and 34 years old.

He told the participants that America’s future was “depending on their generation” and said: “You can turn away and you can ignore what is going on, but if you do it, do it at your own risk. We need you to get up to fight justice.”

While the long list of festival goers contains a number of A-list prominent and influencers such as Kylie Jenner, Paris Hilton and Justin Bieber, around 125,000 people take part every day. On two weekends in April, many participants found a day in the early day on Thursday to record a camp.

But not everything was smooth. Some participants allegedly waited for 12 hours to be recorded on the campsites, as the temperatures reached heights of over 100 degrees.

Nevertheless, it was officially found on Friday afternoon that dozens of performances took place on the eight main stages of the festival. One of the appearances on Friday Brown students offered a sneaker summit in what can be expected on the spring weekend when Ravyn Lenae provided a beautiful and essential performance of “Genius”, which will probably be even better for the main green.

After a whole day with concerts, the headliner went on Friday, Lady Gaga, the Coachella stage for an 110-minute performance that was almost extravagant.

Gaga’s flawless art was obvious during her entire performance because she delivered absolutely breathtaking vocals, choreography and a performance -coordination. Gaga’s voice was perfectly lined with emotions during “Paparazzi”, with her performance raising her 15-year-old video.

When Gaga approached the end of her set, Gaga played her Pride Month 2011 classic “Born This Way”, which contains the texts.

However, this support for the transgender community felt incorrect and despite its mentions of the current “chaos” in the world, their words felt flat compared to other artists who explicitly used their platforms for social issues, such as Clairo and Green Day.

The second day was really put on and, among other things, had appearances by Charli XCX, Green Day and Travis Scott.

“Brat” was brought to life on the Coachella stage, with XCX Troye Sivan brought to the stage for an energetic “Talk Talk with Troye Sivan”. Although the stage structure was simple – fog and light flashing lights – her stage presence alone was more than enough to engage the audience. In contrast to Gaga, where the spectacle was in the costumes, in choreography and set, XCX was the spectacle.

In addition to Sivan, she released Lorde to sing “girls so confusing with Lorde”, which was probably the highlight of the set. XCX brought back the energy of “Brat Summer”, and their performance was improved by the addition of Sivan and Lorde, but also by Billie Eilish, who advised “Rappen with Billie Eilish”.

Green Day, the second headliner of the festival, continued the political undertones of the previous night. The set began strongly with an updated iteration of “American idiot” and replaced “I am not part of a Redneck agenda” with “I am not part of a Maga agenda” in which the signature expression of President Trump “Make America make great things again”.

But that was not the band’s only political comment. Her representation of “Jesus in the suburb” included a supplement by lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, who sang “Runnin ‘away from pain like the children from Palestine”, for which he received a rough applause.

On Sunday, Megan Thee Hengste’s excellent performance was overshadowed by faulty technology, with her microphone cut out during “Mamushi”.

While she continued to dance and tacitly in the middle of the crowd that sang her name, the technical difficulties of the festival of her art did a great injustice. But like XCX, she released several surprising guests, including Queen Latifah, Victoria Monét and Ciara, all of whom were received with enthusiastic cheers.

The weekend was closed by Post Malones 90-minute set, which provided an interesting combination of hip-hop and land. He showed a strong show that ended Coachella’s first weekend with a high level.
