The FBI announced it is opening an investigation into large drones that have flown over central New Jersey in recent weeks.

On Tuesday, the FBI issued a joint statement with the New Jersey State Police and the state Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness requesting information on “recent sightings of possible drones flying in several areas along the Raritan River.” became.

“Witnesses spotted the collection of what appeared to be drones and a possible fixed-wing aircraft,” FBI spokeswoman Amy Thoreson said. “We have reports from the public and law enforcement going back several weeks.”
