The former Eagles RB could find a new home with the NFC East rival Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are in the hunt for the playoffs for the first time since 2020. They may take a former Philadelphia Eagles running back with them. Why not? They are already home to Zach Ertz.

On Wednesday, commanders trained Boston Scott. After spending six seasons with the Birds, he spent time with the LA Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has never seen the field for anyone this year. He recently switched careers to eSports.

Washington has made great strides this season. They led the NFC East until the Eagles flew past them in Week 11. At 7-5, the Commanders are reeling after consecutive losses. They also want to strengthen their squad.

Running backs Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler are both injured. The only healthy options are not someone you want to approach as a spark. Adding Boston Scott to the lineup could be the perfect temporary solution.

As you know, he spent six years of his career in Philadelphia, totaling 3,365 yards and 17 touchdowns. The “Giants Killer” is best known for playing his best football against a division rival.

Last May, Scott signed a one-year contract with the Rams. After his release, he spent a few weeks with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is now looking for an active squad position.

The Commanders will see the Eagles again three days before Christmas. Could Scott be with them?
Interestingly, if the season had ended after Week 12, the Eagles would have hosted the Commanders during the playoffs. They’ll meet again in a few weeks. This should be an important game.

Interestingly, if the season ended today, the Eagles would be playing the Commanders in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Philadelphia will travel to Northwest Stadium on December 22nd.
