The alleged victim reported on the incident in February and informed the police officer that the 42-year-old meteorologist then “blackmailed and threatened” with the release of the clip.

The investigators said Fitzpatrick moved to Ohio shortly after the probe started.

He was grabbed there on Tuesday with the help of Ohio’s law enforcement authorities, police officers said.

Fitzpatrick was charged with sexual extortion and illegal creation of another image.

The police warned that the former Wettermann, who is in custody until his delivery to Virginia, could have more victims – and asked others to report.
