The French star is aiming for a new personal record in the Serie A duel between Inter Milan and Como

Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram is chasing a personal record in the Serie A game against Como this evening.

Today’s print edition of the Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNewsNote that the Frenchman scored in four consecutive Serie A games for the first time in his Nerazzurri career.

Thuram has been Inter’s top goalscorer so far this season.

The 27-year-old built on a hugely impressive debut season and became even more dangerous in goal.

Thuram has been more lethal in the penalty area as he becomes more comfortable in the centre-forward role.

The France international can score almost any kind of goal. And he has.

But if there was one flaw in Thuram’s top-scoring season so far, it was that he tended to score in games.

Thuram scored a brace and a hat-trick against Turin. But he also spent weeks without scoring between those shots.

Therefore, Inter would certainly like Thuram to become more ruthless from week to week.

However, in Inter’s last three Serie A games Thuram managed to get on the top scorer list.

The Frenchman scored twice in a 5-0 Serie A win over Hellas Verona last month.

Thuram then scored Inter’s second goal in a 3-1 win over Parma.

And last week the Frenchman rounded off a 6-0 win over Lazio in Serie A.

Thuram clearly shows his ambition to continue to get on the top scorers list.

Therefore, few would bet on the Frenchman scoring tonight. Inter host Como in their final game at San Siro of 2024.

And if he succeeds, Thuram will have managed four Serie A games in a row with one goal.

The 27-year-old has certainly impressed in front of goal since arriving at Inter. But that’s something he never managed to do.
