Sandra Bullock is considered the highest-paid actress in the world, thanks to her salary and profit share in the 2013 blockbuster “Gravity.” The Hollywood Reporter stated that Sandra Bullock received $20 million in advance fees for her work in the sci-fi film. Thriller took home millions more from her share of the profits after the film grossed over $730 million worldwide. Sandra had signed a 15% profit sharing contract, which gave her a profit share of $50 million and total earnings of $70 million for just one film. In comparison, her co-star in the film, George Clooney, earned $35 million for his role, half as much as Sandra Bullock.

Sandra Bullock is head and shoulders above her competition in the list of highest-paid actresses of all time. In second place is Margot Robbie, who earned $50 million for her role in “Barbie.” Cameron Diaz rounds out the top three thanks to her $42 million salary for Bad Teacher. Reese Witherspoon earned $115 million in 2021, but her income came from several projects that year. Elizabeth Taylor was the first actress to earn $1 million for a film, charging that amount for Cleopatra in 1963.
