It was perhaps a shame to hear that The best series from Netflix, Cobra KaiThe sixth season will be its last. However, that doesn’t mean this will be the last we see of Daniel LaRusso or Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han. With the The sixth film in the franchise Karate Kid: Legends When I went to the theater this summer, I was completely blown away to find out how the character of Mr. Han fits into the Miyagi-verse.

If the Karate kid Since the remake first came out in 2010, I assumed since then that this would be a standalone franchise Daniel was renamed Dre (played by Jaden Smith) and he learned Kung Fu in China from Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han. But after it was announced that a new one Karate kid film would merging the old franchise with the new onewith Jackie Chan reprising his iconic role, that must mean there’s a connection to bringing Dre’s teacher back. If you’re curious about how much connection Mr. Han has to the Miyagi-verse, Karate Kid: Legends Director Jonathan Entwistle answers this question EW and prepare to have your mind blown just like mine:

Without giving too much away, I can say that Mr. Han and Mr. Miyagi are the connection to Daniel. The Han family and the Miyagi family have always been connected. And there is a mention of it in the canon of Karate Kid films for those who want to look for it.

Hold the phone – when was Mr. Han mentioned? The Karate kid Films? Do I have to watch all the movies again to find the answer? I’m really curious about the story between Mr. Han and Mr. Miyagi. Finally, Mr. Han taught Dre kung fu and Mr. Miyagi taught Daniel karate. But Cobra Kai did a great job refreshing or introducing fans to the concepts of the previous films through the art of flashbacks. So, something tells me Karate Kid 6 I should do the same to better explain the connection between the two teachers and what we no longer remember after all these years.

A few years ago, Cobra Kai Boss Jon Hurwitz clarified the connection between his popular Netflix series and the new one Karate kid The film would not focus on the series’ cast. While the young cast may have come to their conclusion in the upcoming series finale, Ralph Macchio is involved in the martial arts drama shows that Daniel LaRusso’s story isn’t over yet. Jonathan Entwistle continues to talk about how this upcoming film 2025 will follow up Cobra Kai:

I’ve been a huge fan of Cobra Kai since the beginning and that’s one of the reasons why I thought it was such an exciting project. I loved the idea that the films and series could all be part of one family. I’ve had some really in-depth conversations with the Cobra Kai team about cool things we can do in the film that can make the whole thing feel holistic. And obviously after all these years on Cobra Kai, Ralph is really, really close, and they’ve been involved in little steps along the way. Everything we talked about made it into the film in one way or another, either through Ralph or through the conversations. We’re really happy to have added another piece to the overall universe.

The Karate Kid Return of the cast Cobra Kai over three decades later, it successfully brought together fans of the old and new generations. Sony’s interesting storyline in the sixth film revolves around Beijing-based teenager Li Fong, who moves to New York City with his mother only to get involved in fights at school. When a new friend of his needs help, Mr. Han hires Daniel LaRusso to help Li Fong combine kung fu and karate to help him win a tournament.

Karate Kid 6The synopsis leaves me with a lot of questions, like how Mr. Han and Daniel know each other and where Mr. Miyagi fits in. Now I’m curious whether Cobra KaiThe final scene will contain a cliffhanger teaser that ties into Mr. Han and the future Karate kid Film.

I never thought that Mr. Han’s connection to the Miyagi-verse would be mentioned in any way in the franchise. This is certainly a mystery, but I’m sure everything will be revealed when Karate Kid: Legends hits theaters on May 30th. Before you see Daniel and Mr. Han together on the big screen, watch Ralph Macchio’s unforgettable character say goodbye to Netflix Cobra Kai: Part Three Come to you Netflix subscription on February 13th.
