So complicated her life that these doctors can rely on their skills in order to save as many people as possible. In Max ‘hit series, The picturesDr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) is surrounded by an incredible, hardworking team to fill his emergency room. Of all the impressive doctors who work in this hospital in Pittsburgh, head and shoulders stand over the rest.

Dr. Mel King is a quirky, friendly doctor on “The Pitt”

Dr. Mel King (Taylor Dearden) was a resident in the second year who came to the emergency room of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, who came with the nickname “The Pitt” after his work in a nearby VA Hospital. She has an obvious passion to heal people, and it is her empathy and her ability to combine with her patients who make her a real hero. In the course of the postponed shift The picturesWe learn that Mel has a sister named Becca, who is in the autism spectrum, and recently made the decision to bring Becca into a facility that she spends a lot of time to worry about. It is clear that this was a necessary step because Mel experienced some tiredness, but it still weighs it. She calls Becca when she can, but there is already no close bond that she shared with her sister when she lived together. Despite Becca and Mel’s life diverged, Becca has already given Mel The ability to see their patients from a different perspective than most doctors can.

The emergency room is a chaotic, stressful place, but some of MEL’s coping methods also offer the show with the necessary humor. Which other doctor would recite the texts to Megan Tee Hengst “Savage” to center himself? Later in the same layer, Mel takes a moment to compose in a quiet staircase and prove that another of her talent knows when to escape. She is both a “wild” and an excellent doctor.

Mel’s empathy makes her an excellent doctor on “The Pitt”

Some aspects of Mel’s character indicate that it could also be neurodicizing. Although this has not yet been expressly confirmed in the show, this has not yet been confirmed Mel has a difficult time with social clues And sometimes struggles to see when other doctors joke. It is overstimulated and has to rely on some self -calming methods to calm down, as the “wild” moment mentioned above. Dearden himself has explained that she has attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), an illness that is now regarded as autistic disorders in the same spectrum, and has also infused some of them, which would explain some behaviors of MEL.

Mel’s possible neurod negotiation and her experience with her sister explains why why She can connect to some of her patients on a lower level. In Episode 7, Mel crosses paths with a patient in autism spectrum with the name Terrance (Coby Bird) that comes in for a bricked up ankle. Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) becomes frustrated and quickly gives up to get through it, but if Mel takes over, she can make things much more comfortable for him and take small (nevertheless significant) steps to ensure terrance and clear out his concerns.

Mel’s unique perspective is also shown in Episode 8 when a drowning victim named Amber (Hadley Smith) comes into the pot. Mel connects to the little girl’s sister, Bella (Olivia Fokova) in one of the most heartbreaking storylines of the entire season. After Amber has died, Mel buys a teddy bear from the hospital’s gift shop and says Bella that she can say everything she wants to bear the bear, and then the bear will pass on the message to Amber. It is a beautiful and tragic way of helping Bella to deal with it, but it is also a perfect example for Mel’s ability to see humanity in every situation. Mel recognizes that every patient (and his family members) has specific needs and fears. While many doctors tend to concentrate only on the medical facts and to braise reality that there are actually people in front of them (and those who often experience the worst day of their lives), Mel never loses her unique responsibility to relieve the pain of these people as far as possible.

In contrast to her newcomers, Mel can remain under pressure, which makes her capital for the team. The mass event that has taken place in the last two episodes Mel is more than the task of being an he doctor. It is concentrated and able to switch from one patient to the next and spit out the treatment plans with ease. But even if it is efficient, Mel does not forget that these patients are scared and traumatized. Despite a woman with an arm injury that is a little shell shock through the shootout and is therefore unable to answer questions. Mel is still approaching her with kindness and brainstorming ideas for what could cause the state in which it is located.

In episodes 12 and 13, Mel also shows what a good guide she is. As Dr. Dennis Whitaker (Gerran Howell) Makes a massive mistake, it does not scream or lose it cool. Instead, she insists that everyone gather into a short Huwdle, questions his choice and then calmly claims how the right procedure gives the right procedure. When Robby ever burns out of his duties to monitor things in the pit, it is easy to see how Mel could be a perfect replacement As a future senior citizen.

Mel may be a bit socially uncomfortable sometimes, but her heart seems through everything she does. She supports her colleagues (even if you screw it up) and she is steadfast in the face of extremely stressful life and death circumstances. Her perspective makes her a doctor who can see things from different perspectives, which makes her a brilliant diagnostician and a shoulder. Conclusion: Every patient would be lucky enough to have Mel as a doctor (and we are lucky enough to have them on The pictures).
