The mothers of Jamie Foxx’s daughter couldn’t be more different

Jamie Foxx is the type of man who attracts a lot of attention, for better or worse. And with that attention comes extensive scrutiny of his personal life and relationships, including his dating history and his family — including his two sisters and his daughters. And part of that, of course, is that Foxx has had a career that has earned him many fans, including winning an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy, all while also being a pretty accomplished singer.

Foxx got his start on the sketch comedy show In living color and from then on became known through a show named after him, The Jamie Foxx Show. He later appeared in films such as Ali, Dreamgirls, Django Unchained, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: No Way Homeand Collateralfor which he was nominated for an Oscar. He would also win an Oscar for portraying Ray Charles in the film Ray.

That and his successful music career made him a pretty familiar name to most people. Foxx is now returning to his roots with a Netflix comedy special titled Jamie Foxx: What happened was… in which he details his health crisis in 2023 that brought him close to death, has kept most of his relationships secret, but the names of the mothers of his two daughters are fairly well known.

He also never married as he was quite clear about his philosophy on marriage. In his 2021 memoir Act like you have a purposeFoxx wrote: “I just don’t think I’m the type to get married. I was just never convinced that marriage was a good idea for me. I had friends who had great marriages, others not so much. And it never seemed to me like marriage was necessary to raise my children in a safe and loving atmosphere.”

Foxx and Grannis, a therapist, have been together since 2008. The two have a daughter, Anelise, who was born on October 3, 2008. The two reportedly still maintain a cordial relationship.

Anelise, Foxx’s youngest daughter, just turned 16. The actor regularly posts pictures of her on Instagram, including from her birthday party. Both she and her older sister Corinne have stood by Foxx during his recent health struggles.

Foxx and Kline began dating around 1993 when their daughter Corinne was born on February 15, 1994. She served in the Air Force for five years and is now a licensed agent with the IRS.

In 2016, in honor of Veterans Day, daughter Corinne posted a picture of her mother in uniform on Instagram with the caption: “Her strength, perseverance and perseverance inspire me every day.” You showed me that women can do anything and everything. I am who I am because of you.”

Foxx’s eldest daughter, Corinne, is an actress and model. She is a co-host of FOX’s Beat Shazam with her father.
