The new Altoona donut breakfast shop is eyeing a mid-January opening

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) – A new donut and breakfast shop in Altoona has confirmed it plans to open its doors in mid-January.

In a Parlor Donuts update, franchisee Brenden Goldizen told WTAJ that the store on Burgoon Road near Mansion Park will be built in the coming weeks and is scheduled to open on Saturday, January 11, 2025. This weekend the store’s opening hours will be changed to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m

Goldizen said they will also have a photo booth in the store on opening weekend.

In addition to the Altoona location, Goldizen tells us it has the franchise rights to open stores in Blair, Cambria and Center counties, calling it “strong potential for future locations.”

According to their website, Parlor offers classic donuts like glazed and raspberry-filled donuts to unique creations like maple bacon and turtle cheesecake. Parlor touts freshness, saying, “Made in small batches throughout the day.”

Parlor said they offer more than donuts and coffee, there are also several homemade breakfast options as well as vegan, gluten and keto-friendly items.
