The Nosferatu remake hits theaters in January and you can watch the original for free now

I don’t know about you, but I do So I’m excited to see Robert Eggers’ version of the legendary vampire film. Here at TechRadar, we’ve already raved about the latest developments Nosferatu trailer and we’re excited to see the dynamic between Lily-Rose Depp and Willem Dafoe. It’s still a while until the new film comes out in January, but some of the best free streaming services are making horror fans happy because now you can watch the original Nosferatu completely free. So if you’ve never seen it before, now is the perfect time to enjoy a brilliant piece of film history.

Why should I watch the original Nosferatu?

There are so many reasons why I think you should try it. Honestly, it’s so cool to have a huge piece of film history available to stream for free that there’s little to lose. Even if it’s not your usual mood, let’s face it, silent films and German Expressionism are not It’s a common genre in 2024, it’s so iconic that I think everyone should watch it at least once. Especially now that someone as great as Eggers is adapting it and following on from his in a similar way strange Hits like The lighthouse And The witch. I can’t think of a better director to take on the project for a modern audience and I’m sure he will do it justice.

It’s also a very effective piece of horror, just as good as some of the titles in our roundup of the best horror films. Despite the lack of traditional dialogue as we are used to, the orchestra offers a chilling score and Max Schreck’s portrayal of the menacing Count Orlok is captivating. It’s a feat that has been mirrored and parodied countless times and has influenced other filmmakers as well, but no one does it as well as he does. He dominates every frame he’s in, and those horrific claw-like hands put Freddy Krueger’s knife glove to shame. As far as horror icons go, Count Orlok is undoubtedly at the top.

It doesn’t hurt to brush up on your knowledge of silent films either, right? Modern films like The artist I’ve celebrated the art form over the last few years, and as a huge film fan, I think we should continue to recognize how important this era was. We have a lot of sound these days, and the best sound systems help us get the most out of our favorite movies. We’re a site dedicated to the biggest and best technology, and part of that technology is why we’re able to access it Nosferatu so free. I think we should value this personally!

If you’re a huge horror fan like me, you should definitely give it a try Nosferatu and lose yourself in this story of a vampire who hunts down his real estate agent’s wife and causes fear and terror in the process. It is an unofficial adaptation of the legendary novel Dracula and really sets the bar high for all vampire films. No wonder Eggers was so eager to bring a new version to our screens and bring the dead to life once again.
