The number of pollen in Atlanta meets 6.345 in the middle of the allergy season

Atlanta – It is a pollen explosion outside the Atlanta area. The pollen number on Friday from Atlanta Allergy & Asthma came with a whopping 6,345. This means that there are 6,345 pollen grains per cubic meter of air.

The most important participants are oak, pine, sweet chewing gum, birch and sycamore trees.

This is the highest number of pollen from Atlanta so far. And the “highlight” of the pollen season is expected to continue a few more weeks. On average, Atlanta sees about a dozen “extremely high” pollen days a year in spring. Friday is on the day of the fifth of 2025 above this threshold.

Last year’s Papen pollen number was 8,740. That was the third highest that is depending on the record. The record number for Atlanta was over 9,000 in 2012.

Nevertheless, she says you should look for help from an allergy sufferer if you don’t find the right remedy or want to see an allergy test to determine what triggers your body’s reaction.

  • Keep your car and house window closed; Instead, carry out the air conditioning (recycled setting).
  • Change or clean your air filter regularly.
  • Shower before going to bed or when you come home. Pollen can settle in hair, clothing and skin so that you can keep pollen in breathing all night over a shower.
  • Wear sunglasses/glasses to keep pollen away from your eyes.
  • Remove shoes when you enter your house.
